Scicon Technologies Corporation (Scicon) is your Single Source Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing Center.   Since 1989, Scicon has been a premier service bureau offering services for one-off parts, low-run production, and complete assemblies, utilizing additive and subtractive prototyping and manufacturing processes.

At Scicon, we understand that your projects may require more than one process to achieve the best possible part and component production.  Scicon's service offering includes: 3D printing (PolyJet high precision 3D printing), Stereolithography (SLA®), High-Definition Stereolithography, Selective Laser Sintering (SLS®), CNC 5-axis machining, RTV, Urethane Castings, Metal Castings, and Scicon's SciCast PMC™ (Precision Metal Casting).

Scicon is proud to have been among a select group of companies involved with the early development of Stereolithography from 3D Systems®.  Understanding the benefits and capabilities of the additive manufacturing process, also known as Direct Digital Manufacturing, enables us to provide our customers with solutions to complicated parts that traditional subtractive manufacturing techniques were unable to produce. Scicon utilizes 3D Systems' Stereolithography, Selective Laser Sintering, and 3D printing advanced technology and materials, in its advanced additive manufacturing centers to directly produce SLA and SLS parts, and indirectly produce plastic and metal castings using RTV/Urethane and SciCast PMC casting processes.  Scicon is a certified ProParts Partner for 3D Systems.

At the request of a specific customer who wanted help in producing mold patterns and inserts, Scicon added its first CNC machine in 1994.  At that time, Scicon was at the forefront of solid modeling - selling solid modeling  software, teaching solid modeling design, and creating solid models from 2D drawing as a service to its customers.  So, as a computer company receiving 3D files and requests for machined tooling, it made perfect sense to add CNC and subtractive manufacturing to the product mix.  Since then, Scicon has added capacity and precision to its machining center with seven vertical milling and multi-axis turning centers.  In 2010, in anticipation of expanding our ISO 9000-based QMS into compliance with AS 9100, Scicon purchased a state-of-the-art Brown and Sharpe Global Performance 9.15.8 CMM adding to our quality capabilities in the machining center.
